The Way
Give credit to God for all things in life, good things and bad. You may ask ‘Bad things?’ …yes bad things as well. I did not say…blame God…I said give him credit. Like Job said…JOB 1:21 Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. Job clearly indicated at this point, nothing that happens in his life is out of the reach of God for in his world, God is the author of all things….good and bad.
Most of the time, the bad that comes into our lives is a direct result of our actions but if God is our God then he never deserts us in the time of our weakness. As a matter of fact he declares that his strength is made perfect in our weakness. God makes it his duty to get involved in every aspect of the life of the believer.
Our LORD, JESUS is a God of completion he never allows a problem without offering a solution; he never asks a question without giving the answer. Jesus never allows a curse without the possibility of a blessing …but he gives you the power to choose. He said I place before you life and death...choose life…multiple choice…and we still get it wrong. Jesus always gives a solution…the way out.
The Wages of sin is death….but the gift of GOD is eternal life
If I shut up the heaves and you have no Rain, or send locusts to devour your land... If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face…
You getting this?…there is a problem but he always makes a way…an alternative to death. This has been so from the very foundation of the world, from the first sin God had already made a way out.
When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, immediately a curse was brought upon Adam, Eve and the Serpent. Still, God in his enigmatic wisdom and mercy immediately introduced the Way to break this curse from man.
Genesis 3:14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Yes the woman was cursed but if you look in this scripture you see that God indicated that the seed of the woman (HER seed) will bruise the head of the tempter. What is strange about this is normally…the seed comes from the MAN and NOT the woman. This indicates that immediately in the Garden God was announcing to the world that he is introducing a way out of the curse of sin via the virgin birth of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ. He was not born under the curse of Adam but was the seed of the woman given by Holy Spirit.
Jesus is right in declaring “I AM THE WAY” for he was the only solution given to the mess man got himself in from the beginning of time. Need I say that he is the ONLY way? God has not given us an alternative to ‘the Way’ for there is no other way but through Jesus. ONLY JESUS SAVES. There is no better way of escape than through GOD himself.
