You know what it is to be standing in the middle of a crowded room, hearing so many voices resonate in communication, eyes attempting to say words that the mind cannot produce. In all the activity the one guest that refuses to leave you alone is loneliness. Even though there are so many people around you, despite the many smiles and conversation you hold and the many friends that pull and tug for your attention, you feel alone, isolated, separated and depressed.
Loneliness is a cancer that corrodes the very nature and spirit of an individual. When you’re alone the mind begins to work overtime and before you know it you are plunging head first into a deep abyss of solitude and depression. You wonder why no one can hear your silent cries for help never stopping to realize that the reason no one hears your silent cries is because they are silent.
Satan’s ploy is to divide and conquer; he wants to separate us from the protective hand of almighty God, which in turn leaves us vulnerable to the attack of the enemy. It’s perfectly acceptable if we are separated from the people around us even though there is strength in numbers. It’s no problem if we are separated from all the things we hold dear but the anointed of GOD must never be separated from the love of God. ROM 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
We must never allow the enemy to separate us from the things of GOD for this is where our strength lies. Still we find ourselves alone. Too many times the people we depend upon are the ones who leave us stranded. The persons we love are the ones who let us down and forsake us. They will strip our coat of many colors and throw us into the pit. Gen37:23And it came to pass when Joseph had come to his brethren, that they stripped Joseph of his coat, his coat of many colors that was on him.24And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty; there was no water in it.
The pit was not where Joseph’s dreams indicated that he would be. Joseph’s dream told of the sun and the moon and the stars great in number. Now he finds himself rejected and alone. Joseph the child must have been crying for fear, after all he was just a child. He was so young that he was still too naive to see that his brothers disliked him. Alone in the cold dark pit Joseph must have cried out for his father, with all his might he must have summoned Ruben, Simeon but none was there to heed his desperate cries. What Joseph did not see, the pit was the beginning of his dream. God will separate us from the masses in order for his will to be fulfilled but while we may think that we are alone, he is always with us. Gen39: 21But the LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. God will never leave you alone in the prison, the arm of flesh may forsake you but the LORD will never leave you.
Your alone time is equivalent to your seed time. The time when you feel alone and separated is the time that GOD is planting you in order for you to give birth to the harvest of your potential. JN 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. Our time of loneliness is not the time for crying and sulking, it’s the time you use to grow root downwards and bear fruit upward. A farmer never plants a handful for seeds in one hole for that is confusion. A single seed, alone, placed in one pit holds the potential to affect a multitude.
JN 16:32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. Our LORD JESUS and his disciples all had a time of loneliness. His Disciples forsook him and fled. They left him alone but he made it clear that the father was with him. On the cross Jesus cried Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
The father had left JESUS alone but this was necessary for he was the seed that had to be planted and after his alone time, he was given a name that is above every other name. I don’t know what you may be going through at this time but from the beginning the LORD made it very clear that it is not good for man to be alone. God wants us to remember that we are not alone, though the world may forsake us Jesus said, I will never leave you nor forsake you even until the end of the earth. No matter how alone I feel I know that the LORD is with me and I am not alone.
